Cargo Insurance
- It’s a guaranty for moving cargos, and assurance service, in which adequate compensation is made within the insurance coverage amount for loss and breakage from the day of packing cargos until the point of time of arranging moving articles after the moving cargos are delivered at the local house; in addition, the amount insured could differ slightly according to the quantity, sorts, and prices of cargoes.
Insuring
- - It’s advisable to apply insurance coverage to all articles.
- The insured amount becomes a criterion of the amount payable as compensation,
  so the shipper him/herself is supposed to decide on it.
- In general, moving cargos are divided into the insurance for loss and insurance for breakage.
Prevention of Handling something with insurance
- - When taking over cargos at a place of arrival, the acceptor is supposed to confirm loss or
  breakage by comparing them with the items of the packing list.
- In case of cargo breakage, it’s advisable to take a photo of the problem spot
  together with an agent, to draw up a claim report together with evidential materials and send them to the transport company;
  in case of a big damage or loss, it’s advisable to handle it by formally entrusting this matter to the SURVEYOR in the insurance policy.
- The already claimed insurance money is not allowed to be given to the relevant transport company, but it is automatically deposited
  in a customer’s bankbook by the insurance company.
- Practically, it takes about 1 month to process the claim and to receive the final compensation after claiming the insurance money.
- In case of the cargo whose repair is impossible, be advised to throw away the thing after the insurance surveyor’s confirmation
  procedure. ( In case of throwing away a thing in advance, there might be a problem in handling this with insurance.)
